“The accomplishment of a goal or purpose”

 

The dictionary has many, varied explanations of what success means.  People seem to have even more different interpretations of what the word actually means.  I think it’s perfectly reasonable for each person to have a completely different understanding of the word and follow their own path.  Actually I think that is primarily what life is about; find what is most valuable to you and do whatever it takes to become successful at that.

 

Recently I got told by a close friend of mine, that success is becoming good enough in your chosen field, to be able to pass on that knowledge and understanding to other humans you hold dear.  I like this ideal very much.

 

Last year I travelled directly across one of the biggest countries on earth, spent a week with some of the warmest people I’ve ever met and stayed a stones throw away from one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen.  During that stay I used my skills, equipment and experience to shoot a wedding for two lovely people and their beautiful families in a truly spectacular location.  Loving what you do, and doing it with/for great people, in my opinion, is success.
The following images are from the above mentioned wedding, taken place in the beautiful Jurien Bay, Western Australia.  Family and friends from both sides, also made the voyage across our fair land, to bear witness the joining of two families into one.  That too, is a great benchmark of success!
